Troy Field is one of the most well known and well respected among the community. Troy is a machine of an athlete, easily in contention for most improved athlete over the last two years. Troy’s running career kicked off with a new years resolution to get back into the sport, and two years down the line has evolved into training for the Tarawera 100 Miler. Troy is accumulating a strong list of palmarès most notably winning the recent Hunua Hillbilly in an astonishing 7:12. Troy has found something he loves. Troy's love for the sport of running stems from the feeling it gives him - he enjoys the feeling of being fit, the feeling of finishing a run, and the feeling of community that stems from it.
Troy's favourite TTT Runners training session is the Thursday Track Ladder. A set of reps that progressively increase in length to a point, then decrease back down in the same manner. A session that is not for the faint hearted. Troy also points to a love of adventures with the crew, getting out into new places and taking on new section of bush.
